Terri Adams Jones was born on the 5th of November. Raised in Oxford, Pennsylvania by her father, (a photographer) Robert Adams III, and her mother, Mary Stilwell Adams (a secretary), she is the eldest of three girls. Her sisters, Regina (a secretary) and Gail (a nurse) are each married and each have two children. They live in Quarryville and Havertown, PA.
Terri is married to her high school sweetheart, Robert L. Jones (a.k.a. Larry), a Biology Teacher at the Oxford Area High School for the past
34 years. He also teaches biology and lab at Cecil County Community College for the past
12 years. Hardware clerk at Cameron's True Value keeps him busy in his
"spare time." Terri enjoys teaming up with her husband, Larry, whenever possible to present holiday entertainment. They are a dynamic duo!
The Joneses have been married for 34 years. They live in Rising Sun, Maryland, and have two children-Christopher,
26, who lives in Elkton, Maryland, and Kimberly, 21, who attends Cecil Community College. They also have a tiny
11-year-old Pomeranian Chihuahua named Casey.
Terri has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has been a classroom teacher, preschool and music teacher, and teacher at her
home-based, licensed family day care center, "The Nursery Nook." Currently at the Cecil County Public Library, she is the Children's Outreach Librarian for the book van program,
"This Way To Books," as well as the library's liaison storyteller for the three Elkton Judy Hoyer Centers.
Affectionately named, "Miss" Terri, Cecil County, as well as tri-state area children also know her as the storyteller who always wears flowers in her hair,
with pink as her signature color. An avid fan of ventriloquism and puppets, Terri welcomes her audiences to experience hands-on participation by using her vast array of puppets, props and costumes to become a part of her show. Her singing and artwork, as well as her miniature artwork in face painting never fail to delight her audiences.
In her private life, Terri is a born-again Christian. She loves to serve her Father, God and Savior, Jesus. She attends Janes United Methodist Church in Rising Sun, and sings soprano in the choir. She presents numerous Christ-centered programs for all ages. Her favorite books are the Bible and the
"Left Behind" series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.
Terri is currently writing books. She is soon submitting her first book to publisher and hoping she will be able to see her own work in print. She has written a children's holiday book,
"Tom, The Thankful Turkey," which not only teaches the concepts of colors and giving thanks, but also features an original song she wrote.
"Zeb's Marvel," her historical fiction book for young people and adult readers, is still in the process of polishing and re-editing.
Her third book, "The One-Eyed, Two-Eyed, Three-Eyed Little Girls," is loosely based on a Grimm fairy tale her grandmother used to tell her when she was a little girl herself. This will be a juvenile fiction work, which is still in the editing process. Terri has also developed ideas for a few other books for future projects.
